Talent Software Services is in search of a Speech Language Pathologist for a contract position in Hot Springs, AROpportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extensionPrimary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The speech language pathologist is responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including identification, assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environmentConducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), and identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language functionIdentifies functional speech defects and establishes a Plan of Care (POC) to improve patient's functionAdministers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipmentRecommends communication devices/aids as indicatedConfers with referring physician and other staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to the total Plan of Care (POC)Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatmentProvide patient and family/caregiver education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independenceIdentifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriateMay supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy Plan of Care (POC)As appropriate, participates in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive carePerforms other related duties as assigned or requestedQualifications Must possess current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible and hold current state license as applicable - Required Proof of current CPR certification - Required Current driver's license - Required Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required 1 year clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology - Required Graduate of a master's level program in speech-language pathology which is either accredited by the Educational Standards Board or whose course work and practice meet ASHA certification requirements - Required Preferred Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skillsCommunicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and othersMeets mandatory continuing education requirementsMaintains clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theoryDemonstrates commitment, professional growth and competencyAbility to work flexible schedule and travel locallyAbility to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standingProlonged standing and walking requiredRequires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needsRequires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityPromotes company philosophy and administrative policiesMust read, write and speak fluent English Experience in a home care environment - Preferred If this job is a match for your background, we would be honored to receive your application! The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
