We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team located in Hot Springs, AK.Your Role:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance employees, performing preventative/corrective maintenance, emergency repairs, installations, and modification of plant production and service equipmentThis position will maintain systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing defective or inoperative partsWe embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.You will have the opportunity to:
Troubleshoot broken equipment quickly and restoring the equipment to operationAdditionally, the Maintenance Supervisor assists the maintenance and engineering groups in determining solutions to technical problems involving rolling mills, separators, annealing furnaces, spoolers, and packaging equipment.The Maintenance Supervisor directly manages approximately 25 employees in a union environment on a daily basis and manages all employees on various maintenance projects related to the aluminum rolling, separating, and packaging process.The Maintenance Supervisor ensures compliance of his direct reports with the Company's environmental, health, and safety protocols along with other Company policiesThey must maintain hourly personnel filesThis includes filing all documents related to Company policy such as employee counseling, time and attendance, work performance, etc.Occasionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will be required to manage both production and maintenance employeesThe work schedule supports 24/7 production with a 12-hour rotating shift.Ultimately, you will ensure the plant equipment operates properlyWe strive to build a diverse, inclusive, and talented workforce who will contribute to the Company's vision, mission, and goals.You will love it here ifYou are committed to operational excellence and to keeping others safe in the workplaceYou are not only a team-player, but you bring the team togetherYou pay great attention to detail and are well organizedYou work well others, promote collaboration, and knowledge sharingWe need you to have:
High School diploma or equivalent required.4
years of experience in a unionized, maintenance department in manufacturing.Strong knowledge and demonstrated skills in Electrical Troubleshooting.Qualified in NFPA - 70 E for Electrical work.Working knowledge and experience with a preventive and predictive maintenance system.Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading multi-craft teams.Additional educational background or experience that includes experience with machine design, hydraulicsand general mechanics.Ability to work in a team environment and employ problem-solving skills.Ability to able to demonstrate experience in working with a CMMS system.Have excellent written and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of MS Word & MS Excel.Must be willing to work any shift, as well as overtime with weekend work mandatory.Icing on the cake:
BA/BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.MBA or other advanced degree.Experience working in a union environment.Proficiency in SAP and Kronos.Want to know more?
