People Services Recruiters are responsible for providing staffing services for non-exempt, managerial, and professional positions. This includes sourcing candidates using a variety of recruiting methods, managing relationships with outside vendors to provide the company with alternative means of recruiting and strategizing with People Services Manager and hiring managers in determining the needs of the engagement center as well as a hiring strategy to meet the business objectives.
Establishes a recruiting strategy by analyzing job descriptions and management feedback, customizing processes as well as staying abreast of industry trends and local labor market conditions
Ensures executed recruiting strategy meets or exceeds key metrics aligned and leverages a process improvement approach when underperformance occurs. .
Using the ACCENT BBIT model , recruits, interviews, screens, complete reference checks and makes hiring decisions in collaboration with local management at the Engagement Specialist and Supervisor level. May consult with hiring manager regarding potential candidates and assists them in their final decision at the agent/supervisor level. Finalizes offers in accordance with employment and compensation policies. Processes appropriate paperwork.
Identifies creative sources for recruiting qualified candidates through a variety of continually expanding means to include database, Internet, newspaper advertising, job fairs, professional organizations, community agencies, and colleges. Strategize with the engagement center to determine other possible sources.
Manages the recruiting dashboard that reflects key numbers such as Cycle Time, %Screen to Role, turnover at key points and Performance as new employees move into production.
Partners with Recruiters across the enterprise to share best practices and respond to PS Audits needs.
May be the process owner for the enterprise focused on a particular segment, such as Veteran's Recruiting.
Ensures that hiring process is followed in an appropriate manner.
Completes initial paperwork with new hires as directed by the People Services Manager.
Initiates and implements special projects in order to help "grow" the staffing function internally as well as within the community.
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state legislation/regulations, and People Services policies and procedures to prevent and/or minimize potential liability to the company.
Acts as a backup to the People Services Manager

Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
3 to 5 years previous employment interviewing and employee relations skills required.
Previous experience in a call center environment desired.
Proven ability to hire large volumes in a short period of time.
Thorough knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
Proven ability in verbal, written, and communication skills required, presentation skills preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
